When the two options are compared, the cordless Dremel trimmers are a better choice than Pedi Paws nail trimmers! The most notable difference is the power of the motor in the grinders, with Pedi Paws unable to adequately trim the nails of larger breeds.

A company known for their rotary tools commonly used crafting with glass, metal, wood, and more, it was only time that stood in the way of Dremel releasing their own pet nail trimmer. The first of these handheld rotary tools we see today was patented and marketed by Dremel back in 1935.

The 7020-PGK isn’t as popular because it requires 4 AA batteries that are not included with the purchase. The 7760-PGK model features rechargeable batteries, giving more use to their machine without spending as much on batteries.

While there are still owners, to this day, that will swear by this pet nail care product, there are just as many and more who will steer you in a different direction. Pedi Paws was a great product when it was first released in 2001, which has turned into subpar with time.

At the start of this comparison Im sure you asked yourself: “Does pedipaws really work?”. After doing some research we don’t think it works good enough. We think Cordless Dremel are way better because: the rotor of the tool have much more power (be careful that you don’t give the Dremel too much power and take too much of the nail), gives you multiple speeds, works both on thin  and thick nails, have a nail guard and its rechargeable.

The biggest downside with pedi paw is that the rotor don’t work as good as it used to. Many people are very unsatisfied with the nail trimmer, it uses C-batteries (which you have to change everytime). If you are still going to buy it, the pedi paw works better on smaller dog breeds with thin nails.
